This facility had a unique request. The 1.5 million square foot building had to keep all the chocolate stored there at an even, cool temperature. This is where HTS came in. The refrigeration needed to rotate enough air to maintain an even temperature throughout the full height and discharge lower than normal temperatures.

To accomplish this, HTS used 20 Johnson Air Rotation units, four Daikin RPS Makeup air units, and two Daikin Air Cooled Screw chillers. These products were chosen specifically for this job for various reasons. Johnson Air Rotation units use high volume, low-velocity air circulation to distribute the conditioned air to a large open space, which can handle cooling capacities up to 450 tons and air volumes up to 170,000 CFM. Additionally, the chillers offer flexible design and a balance of price and performance to best meet the requirements for this job, including efficiency and a small footprint that optimize space and reduce installation costs.
